5 Amazing Things You Never Thought You Could Do on Your Cruise Vacation.

Updated: Jul 19

The world of cruising is getting better by the day - with new itineraries, new luxury ships being added every month, expanded services and authentic experiences. We specialize in booking our clients on amazing experiences either before or after their cruise – experiences that enhance the journey. Here are 5 things that we book our clients on that you may have never thought you could do on a cruise vacation.

1.      Add a train trip. Whether you are cruising to Alaska, sailing in the Mediterranean or taking a river cruise down the Danube, adding a pre- or post cruise train trip can be AMAZING. Think about getting off your river cruise down the Seine where you have just visited the beaches of Normandy, sailed through the medieval villages where Joan of Ark lived, and now you are in Paris. You can get off the ship and board the Orient Express (dress up in period costume if you like!) and go back in time as you travel from Paris to Venice. They have recreated it to look as elegant as it did during its heyday.

2.      Spend a day at a world famous, luxury resort. We work with a great company that gives cruise passengers a day at a top resort anywhere on the planet. We used the service to spend a day at a resort on St Kitts and loved swimming in the ocean, relaxing by the pool, and enjoying all the amenities of the resort. It’s a great way to enjoy a day at the beach from your cruise vacation and also a great way to check out a resort in case you want to come back someday.

3.      Take a macaron making class from a top Parisian chef: Get off your ocean going ship and ride into Paris for a few days. We set you up with a lovely chef (we took the class, too) who will spend a delightful afternoon with you teaching you how to make macarons. You will, of course, get to eat some, and take the recipes and fresh baked macarons with you.

4.      Get a private tour of the Sistine Chapel: If you can be a bit flexible on time, we can get you into the Sistine Chapel for a private tour before the hordes show up for the day. The family who requested that tour said it was amazing to be alone to savor Michelangelo's masterpiece and was the highlight of their summer vacation.

5.      Stay at a 18th century chateau in the Loire Valley in France. You will have a private chef and enjoy an amazing time in this historic chateau in one of the most beautiful, peaceful and historic areas of France.
